01
Make one generous thing
A big bowl of pasta is a good place to begin. Put it in the middle, add a salad or something crunchy, and let everyone help themselves.
02
Let people bring themselves
The best tables have room for different tastes, stories and appetites. Ask about allergies before you cook and keep toppings on the side so everyone can make their own bowl.
03
Stay a little longer
Put the phones away. Leave the dishes for later. Good food is the beginning of the evening, not the whole point.
